The Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS)(link is external) is committed to fostering an intellectually stimulating and culturally diverse campus to enrich students’ total learning experience at HKU. Bridging the boundary between the classroom and the world, they provide support services, resources, and educational programs to facilitate students’ learning.
HKU offers a variety of Student Associations(link is external), as well as sports facilities through the Centre for Sports and Exercise(link is external).
UC Berkeley
At UC Berkeley, the extracurricular opportunities are endless. Dual Degree students participate in a variety of clubs and organizations from the student newspaper to the student-led DeCal class in coding. UC Berkeley’s UCDC program(link is external) and Berkeley Global Internships(link is external) programs are also opportunities in which students often take part.
It is very common for Dual Degree students to become involved in research through UC Berkeley’s Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP)(link is external). Through this program, students receive academic credit for working on specific research projects with UC Berkeley faculty, choosing from about 400 projects available. Students are free to apply to any research project even if it is outside their area of study.
